If you are taking a trip, after arriving at Waterloo Station, you will most likely pick up your rental car. Once you have your rental car, you will be able to start enjoying your trip. If you are wondering what you can do near Waterloo Station, here is a list with some potential ideas:
Black History Walk – If you would like to get some great cardiovascular exercise as well as expanding your knowledge, you can take Lambeth’s Black History Walk. This walk (which is appropriate for all ages) lasts for a little less than two hours, and profiles some of the most famous Black Londoners in history (as well as some that you have probably never heard of before).
Swimming and Tennis – If you visit this area during the summer months, you may be interested in swimming or playing tennis in Lambeth. While people between the ages of 17 and 59 will have to pay a fee for these activities, they are free for children under sixteen and senior citizens over the age of sixty.
Clapham Common Bandstand – Depending on the time of the year when you visit this area, you may be able to attend a music performance, theatre production, dance event or other attraction at the Clapham Common Bandstand. It seems like there is almost always something taking place here, so just check a current schedule to find out if what is taking place interests you.
Red Gate Gallery – If you are in the mood to look at some amazing works of art, you will enjoy spending some time in the Red Gate Gallery.
