Waterloo Station is the busiest station in the whole of the United Kingdom and therefore it is fair to expect some pretty good facilities. Unfortunately there isn’t a first class waiting area, but there is a standard waiting area open between 4:30am and 1.05am Monday to Friday, 4.30am to 1.50am Saturday and 5.30am to 1.05am Sunday. Refreshments are widely available whilst you wait for your train. There are two cash machines on the station, one open the same time as the waiting rooms, with the other open 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 6pm Sunday. Toilets and a pay phone are available around the clock. Internet access is available at the same hours as the seating area along with plenty of shops that are open the same hours. A post box is available to post that all important letter before your commute. Should you wish to cycle into the station, cycle storage is available on various platforms. There is also a 27-space car park (good luck trying to park there!).

Accessibility for disabled passengers isn’t an issue at Waterloo station as there are plenty of customer help points, accessible ticket machines, induction loops fitted throughout the station and a ramp for access to the trains. Also included are accessible toilets and public telephones, and the whole station is completely step free. Wheelchairs are available if need be. Staff are on hand 24 hours a day to help all passengers, whether they have an accessibility problem or not.
