Waterloo Station is a major rail station that serves London in delivering passengers through their daily commute. While not as large as Victoria Station, there are still plenty of sites to see.

The London Aquarium is the most famous tourist landmark you will find served by Waterloo and it sits on the bank of the Thames, offering three stories of exhibits and literally thousands of different species of marine life to observe. Visitors are treated to huge displays of natural plant and animal life co-existing, making for one of the most memorable visits to London.

For the hands down best view of London, you can visit the London eye which is the world’s highest observation tower at 135 meters high. The rotating wheel gives you a 30 minute overhead tour of the city that reflects just how beautiful London can be in any weather. Each capsule can contain upwards of 25 people, so large groups are welcome, while the wheel itself has the capacity to hold 1,500 people every hour.

A new sight on the Thames water front is the Millennium Bridge which was opened in June 2000 and is the first Thames crossing to have been added in more than 100 years. It is also the only bridge designed to be used by pedestrians only, so it is a definite must see.

For those who enjoy the arts, the Royal National Theatre is available and is one of the largest and most acclaimed theaters in London. The theater has three different auditoriums which stage musicals to avant garde plays, so no matter your tastes you can find something to suit your artistic whims. For those interested in seeing how the theater operates, there are guided backstage tours.
